Two labs
At Lodz University of Technology, Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux met with teams from two Institutes whose research is embedded in space technologies.
At the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, a meeting took place with scientists implementing specialized coatings with applications in space engineering.
At the Institute of Automatic Control, she will meet with students from the Raptors team constructing further models of the Mars rover and strategies for the collaboration of driving and flying robots. During each of the meetings, Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux toured the laboratories and had discussions on topics related to the future prospects of space technology.
After the visit, she said:
It was great to see first-hand the cutting-edge research being pursued at the material science institute of Lodz University of Technology who has been growing their engagement with the global space sector. And I have to give a special shout out to their Raptors students team, whose autonomous battery swapping technology offers compelling use cases for aerial platforms and industrial uses.
